Membership Information
Visitors are always welcome at meetings of Bankstown Sports Toastmasters club. However, obtaining the full benefits of Toastmasters relies on active participation. This can only be done as a member. Membership of our club is a cost-effective way of building self-confidence and having fun, while developing public-speaking skills.
The cost of joining the club and being an active member involve the following:

A Joining Fee (once only) of $35.00

Semi-annual dues (which are payable in March and September) of $45.00

New members also pay a pro-rata payment based on the month of joining (which covers the months leading up to the first semi-annual period).
These amounts are collected by the club treasurer. The bulk of this money is remitted to Toastmasters International and pays for administrative costs.
New members receive a member name-badge and a New Member kit.
The New Member Kit contains:

The Competent Communication manual (containing the first ten speech assignments)

The Competent Leadership manual
-
The guides, "Your Speaking Voice", "Gestures: Your Body Speaks" and "Effective Speech Evaluation".
All members receive the monthly "Toastmaster" magazine.
